Gravity Goddess: Gym World (The Galactic Championships) is the third and final chapter in the Gravity Goddess story, a multiplayer, online role-playing game based on the events in Gravity Goddess: Holo-Station I (Prophet's Agenda) and Gravity Goddess: Ir'Ileseum (Floor Exercise).
Gym World
Ir'Zha La (roughly translated: "Planet for Training" or simply "Gym World") is a planet located in the Ir'Xantu galaxy, far from the Milky Way galaxy, that is solely dedicated to the training of athletes. As such, the planet is divided into isolated zones, each zone dedicated to the training of a particular kind of athlete. Although many apply from all over the universe, only the most talented athletes are accepted for training on Gym World.
Defy Gravity
By the end of Gravity Goddess: Ir'Ileseum (Floor Exercise), the Chosen One had acquired and started to use Defy Gravity in Floor Exercise Competition, allowing her to suddenly dominate the event, causing her to become an over night sensation.
But, after the initial excitement had died down, it had become clear that the Chosen One would have to be disqualified from Competion. Otherwise any other Gymnast who wanted it would have to be allowed to acquire the Defy Gravity ability.
In the end, it was decided that the Defy Gravity ability would be available to any Gymnast that wanted it and was willing to put in the time and effort to acquire it.
As such, the events in Gravity Goddess: Gym World (The Galactic Championships) take place after many Gymnasts have acquired Defy Gravity. And, in Gravity Goddess: Gym World (The Galactic Championships), rather than competing against an NPC, players compete against other players.
To acquire the Defy Gravity ability, ALL Gymnasts had to train as Exorcists, to achieve Permanence and ultimately Dominion over the Demons of Ul'Guzad. However, over time, being seduced by the dark power of Demons, about half of the Gymnasts who had acquired Defy Gravity decided to give themselves over to Demonic Possession!
Choosing Sides
As Gravity Goddess: Gym World (The Galactic Championships) gets started, players will have to decide whether they want to be an Exorcist or Demon Possessed. And, therefore, besides continuing to compete against one another, players naturally find themselves clashing with other players on a totally different level.
In Gravity Goddess: Gym World (The Galactic Championships), when not Competing, Exorcists can freely attack the Possessed, and the Possessed can freely attack Exorcists, meaning everyone has to stay alert and be ready for anything.
When Possessed, Gymnasts have the complete range of Demon Skills. And, when 2 or more Possessed combine their Demonic energies, they are able to achieve Destroyer form, forcing Exorcist players to Fight, rather than Exorcise.
While Exorcists focus on increasing Paranormal Power, the Possessed focus on acquiring Demon Armor, to increase their Demonic Power.
When a Possessed is successfully Exorcised, no Demon skills can be used, until the Possessing Demon has awakened from Dormancy.
Galactic Champion
In Gravity Goddess: Gym World (The Galactic Championships), scheduled Floor Exercise competitions take place each day of the week, cultimating, at the end of the week, with a final Competition, where someone earns the title of "Galactic Champion".
The "Galactic Champion" title lasts, until the start of the next Galactic Championships. at the beginning of the following week.
While holding the title of "Galactic Champion", the holder is awarded with a special buff that provides the holder with functions found nowhere else in the game.
